Carmen Castillo is the President and CEO of SDI International Corp. (SDI), a $2.8 bill certified Woman- and Hispanic-owned company which she founded in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1992. The company provides its clients with fully scalable global indirect procurement solutions for the tail-end of complex supply chains.
Aside from being an active part of IWEC, Ms. Castillo is also a Board Member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) and leads their Audit and International Committees. She collaborates with the boards of many other Minority- and Woman-owned business organizations. Ms. Castillo is very active in community affairs, direct mentorship programs and business development organizations that further the entrepreneurial efforts of minorities and women worldwide.
Ms. Castillo has received multiple awards for her advocacy and mentorship efforts, and proprietary business development programs, among them the “Enterprising Women of the Year” award by Enterprising Women Magazine, “Elite Hispanic Woman” by Hispanic Business Magazine, one of the largest Hispanic- and Woman-Owned businesses in the U.S. (by Hispanic Business Magazine) and the “National Minority Supplier of the Year” award, by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).
