Feature – Nuria Basi, President Basi, S.A.

Nuria has been affiliated with the IWEC Foundation since its inception in 2007.  She is a past awardee and leads up the Dreams Beyond Borders mentor program in Barcelona.

Her work as a woman entrepreneur has earned her a number of awards, such as the IWEC Award in 2008 which was presented in New York City.  In addition, along with Carmen Mur, they were the first two women to join the Board of Directors of the National Labor Promotion Federation. Nuria is currently President of Grup Set, member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Gender of Punto (second vice-president), the Board of Directors of Fira de Barcelona and the Executive Board of AECC Catalonia and of the Board of Trustees of the Institute Guttmann and the Pere Tarrés Foundation, among others.

She is also very involved in mentoring women entrepreneurs through a program, Dreams Beyond Borders, along with other successful women business owners in Barcelona.

Nuria Basi’s philosophy is that “the glass is not half empty, it is half full!”
